Five Naija Stars Set to Shine at Club World Cup

Five Nigerian soccer players will compete at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup across America. The tournament expanded to feature 32 teams from around the globe. Three African clubs earned spots to face top international competition. Esperance from Tunisia brings striker Onuche Ogbelu to their squad. The 22-year-old forward hopes to score goals for his team.

Al Ain from Saudi Arabia carries three Nigerian players into the competition. Rilwanu Haliru Sarki plays left wing for the Middle Eastern club. Forward Joshua Udoh and goalkeeper Hassan Sani Mohammed complete their Nigerian trio. FC Porto features Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi during the summer tournament. The competition runs from June 14 through July 15 across multiple American cities.
