Fluminense Brick Wall Stops Dortmund at MetLife

Fluminense tied with Borussia Dortmund during their Club World Cup match at MetLife Stadium. The game took place in New Jersey as part of the tournament's first round. Both soccer teams earned one point from the draw. Group Six contains four teams total with Sundowns and Ulsan completing the lineup. Each team wants to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Sundowns faces Ulsan early Wednesday morning for their group match. The winner of that game will take an early lead in Group Six standings. Fluminense controlled much of the action against Dortmund but could not score. The Brazilian team created several good chances but failed to beat the German goalkeeper. Dortmund's defense worked hard to stop Fluminense's attacking players.

Dortmund also tried to score against Fluminense during the match. The German team moved the ball forward several times but never seriously threatened. Fluminense's defense stayed organized and prevented dangerous shots. Neither team managed to find the back of the net. The match ended without goals as both sides settled for the tie.
