Former Kogi Deputy Governor Patrick Adaba Dies

Chief Patrick Adaba passed away yesterday after many months of health problems. A person close to his family told reporters about his death yesterday. The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State had lived a full life since his birth in 1946. His career in public service came after years of education and work in different fields.

He studied at Ahmadu Bello University, located in Zaria. By 1971, he earned his Bachelor of Arts, focusing on History and Political Science. The university also awarded him a combined graduate certificate in education that same year. After school, he built experience through various jobs before entering government work.

Prince Abubakar Audu chose him as Secretary to the State Government during his first term running Kogi State. Their professional relationship continued years later when voters picked them as a team in 2003. Adaba stepped into the Deputy Governor role when Audu returned to the governor's mansion, Lugard House. Together, they led the state during that administration.
