Fortrea appointed Agnieszka Gallagher as general counsel to succeed Stillman Hanson, who departed after completing a planned transition period at the Durham, North Carolina, contract research organization. Chief executive Anshul Thakral stated that Gallagher brings extensive life sciences leadership experience and a proven ability to align legal strategy with business objectives while managing complex global operations.
Gallagher previously served as chief legal officer at Standard BioTools and held senior legal positions at OraSure Technology, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, ViiV Healthcare, GSK, Sandoz, Medtronic and Pfizer. She will oversee legal strategy, compliance operations and corporate governance while serving as corporate secretary for the clinical development services provider.
Hanson spent approximately two and a half years at Fortrea following previous roles at G1 Therapeutics, IQVIA and Quintiles Transnational Holdings before entering private legal practice at Smith Anderson.
