Marumo Gallants advanced to the Carling Knockout Cup semifinals after defeating Stellenbosch FC 4-0 on Wednesday at Dr Molemela Stadium. Phillip Ndlondlo scored twice while Monde Mphambanisi and Edgar Manaka contributed one goal each in the commanding victory.
The Premier Soccer League held the semifinal draw immediately after the match. Lamontville Golden Arrows will face Marumo Gallants on Nov. 8, while Richards Bay FC meets Orlando Pirates the same day. Both matches will take place in KwaZulu-Natal.
Golden Arrows eliminated TS Galaxy 2-1 in extra time on Oct. 26 with Kagiso Malinga scoring the winner. Orlando Pirates defeated defending champions Magesi FC 2-1 on Oct. 28 as Evidence Makgopa netted twice. Richards Bay rallied past Durban City 3-1 in extra time on Oct. 25 with goals from Knox Mutizwa, Mbulelo Nombengula, and Thabiso Kutumela.
