PSG Humiliates Atletico 4-0 in LA Blitz

PSG crushed Atletico Madrid 4-0 during their Club World Cup opener at Rose Bowl Stadium Sunday. The European champions dominated from kickoff against overmatched Spanish opponents. Fabian Ruiz scored first after excellent team buildup during the 19th minute. Vitinha doubled the lead just before halftime with a precise shot past goalkeeper Oblak. Luis Enrique started his strongest lineup except for injured Ousmane Dembele.

Atletico Madrid struggled against PSG's possession game and pressing tactics throughout both halves. The Spanish side created few chances and looked outclassed by superior opponents. Clement Lenglet received a red card during the 78th minute after poor defending. Julian Alvarez appeared to score but VAR ruled the goal offside during the second half. PSG maintained complete control without needing maximum effort.

Warren Mayulu extended the lead during the 87th minute after Antoine Griezmann accidentally set him up. Kang-in Lee converted a penalty kick during stoppage time to complete the rout. PSG faces Botafogo Thursday with qualification to the knockout rounds nearly secured. The Parisians demonstrated championship form two weeks after winning the Champions League. Coach Luis Enrique received the perfect start to their Club World Cup campaign.
