Kenya Thrash Uganda 4-0 in CECAFA Catastrophe

Kenya crushed Uganda 4-0 during the CECAFA Senior Women's Championship match on Tuesday. The Harambee Starlets dominated play from start to finish at Azam Complex. Diana Wacera scored first after 18 minutes when Uganda's defense failed. Dorcas Sikobe added a second goal eight minutes later with a strong shot. Violet Nanjala made it 3-0 just two minutes after that score.

Uganda coach Sheryl Botes tried changing players but nothing worked against Kenya's attack. The Crested Cranes played better during the second half but could not score. Martha Emedot finished the scoring with 10 minutes left to make it 4-0. Uganda lost their opening game 1-0 to Burundi and cannot defend their championship title. The team faces Tanzania on Saturday with only pride at stake.

Tanzania beat Burundi 6-0 to move into first place with Kenya. Opa Clement leads all scorers with four goals across two games. Kenya and Tanzania both have six points after two matches played. Uganda and Burundi each have three points but poor goal differences. The loss ends Uganda's chances of reaching the tournament semifinals.
