Uganda's Sand Cranes found out who they will battle against at the first CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship. The soccer players learned their group enemies when officials announced the tournament lineup. Pirates Beach in Mombasa, Kenya will host the exciting matches from July 16 through July 20, 2025. The Sand Cranes landed in Group A with Tanzania and Seychelles as their opponents. Group B features host nation Kenya along with Malawi, Burundi, and Zanzibar. Uganda will start their beach soccer journey on July 17 against Tanzania at 4:30 in the afternoon. Tanzania opens the entire championship one day earlier when they face Seychelles. The Sand Cranes will finish their group matches on July 18 against Seychelles at 1:30 in the afternoon.
