Gambia Revokes Kamalo Land Allocations.
BANJUL, Gambia—The Gambian government has revoked all land allocations at the Kamalo Extension and canceled allocations at Kamalo Proper that lacked ministerial approval or proper documentation.
Lands Minister Hamat Bah announced these actions at a press conference on Monday. The government will formally notify affected individuals in writing.
A task force investigated the allocations. It recommended limiting individuals with multiple Kamalo Proper allocations to just one. The state will forfeit any extra allocations.
The government also revoked allocations to people who provided personal bank accounts instead of company accounts.
