A young company from The Gambia made everyone proud! They bought 26 new cars for Nawec, which cost more than 100 million dalasis. This company is called Gambiago, or Gamgo for short.
On Friday, Gamgo had a big party at their office. They gave Nawec shiny new Toyota trucks - both Hilux and Land Cruiser types. The head of Gamgo, Saibo Camara, felt very happy about this special day. He said this shows what Gambian companies can do when people trust them.
Mr. Camara decided to spend his own money first - over 100 million dalasis - because he believed in his team. He wanted to make things even better for Nawec. Instead of giving them 2021 cars as they asked for, he brought them brand-new 2024 models! He thanked Nawec for believing in his company and praised his team for working hard.
The boss of Nawec, Galo Saidy, smiled when he saw the new cars. He said he felt proud that Gamgo brought all the vehicles before asking for money. "I feel very happy they won this job," Mr. Saidy said.
Muhammed Mbye works as a manager at Gamgo. He told everyone that his company started in 2018. They want to help other companies and make The Gambia famous around the world. After the talking finished, people tried driving the new cars. Everyone visited Gamgo's beautiful office building near Senegambia, which used to be called Dream Park.
