Gas cylinder blast leaves Migori family homeless

A family in Nyandema village lost their home after a gas explosion on Saturday night. The area's acting Assistant Chief, Richard Juma, explained that the gas cylinder blew up around 11 pm, burning down the entire house and everything inside.

The family managed to save only one item from the fire: a generator. Luckily, no one was hurt during the incident. The assistant chief said police are investigating what caused the gas cylinder to explode. He does not yet know the exact reason for the blast.

Juma warned people who use gas for cooking to be very careful. He said they have seen other gas explosion cases in the area. The incident should teach everyone to handle gas carefully and follow safety rules when cooking with gas cylinders.

The family must now find a new place to live after losing their home. They will need help from neighbors and community members to rebuild their lives after this unexpected disaster. Gas can be dangerous if not used correctly, and this incident shows why people must pay close attention when using gas equipment.
