Get Ready as Kumasi Tamale Airports Open Late

Ghana's airport officials changed operating hours at two airports starting June 1st. The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and Ghana Airports Company made Prempeh I International Airport stay open until 11 p.m. Tamale International Airport will remain open until 10 p.m. each day. Both airports previously closed earlier each evening. These longer hours help airlines schedule more flights.

Airlines received official notices about the new airport schedules from aviation authorities. More flights can land and take off during evening hours at both locations. Passengers traveling between cities will have more flight options to choose from. The changes affect domestic travel routes within Ghana. Aviation companies want more people to use these airports for business and personal trips.

Officials hope longer airport hours will boost economic activity across the Ashanti and Northern regions. More flights mean better connections between major cities like Kumasi and Tamale. Business travelers and tourists benefit from additional scheduling flexibility throughout the day. The airports serve important commercial centers that drive regional development. Extended operating hours support Ghana's growing domestic aviation market.
