Gigabyte RTX50 Thermal Gel Meltdown Freaks Owners

More Gigabyte RTX 50 GPU owners report thermal gel problems. The issue causes gel to seep from its proper place onto other parts. This first happened about ten days ago with a GeForce RTX 5080 card. Gigabyte said some early batches received extra thermal gel. They claimed this would not hurt performance or lifespan.

Three forum members recently shared similar experiences. One user named Remekra noticed gel moving toward input-output ports because his case mounts cards vertically. User TaLL saw gel slipping after just one week of use. Another person showed pictures of gel reaching the PCI-E connector. The company states they test cards thoroughly for stability through drops and different installation positions. No cards have failed yet, but seeing this might worry people.

Users should not try fixing this themselves since removing coolers can cancel warranties. Gigabyte has not offered new comments about these latest cases. Their previous response suggests they might not have a solution for customers already facing this problem.
