Gov Happy With Hills Estate Build in Harare

Zimbabwe officials love the progress at the Hills Luxury Golf Estate. This huge $300 million project in Harare will create living space for over 4,300 people. Workers have already finished 80 percent of the roads in phase one. The development includes apartments, villas, townhouses, and standalone homes.

Housing Minister Soda Zhemu visited the construction site yesterday with Deputy Musa Ncube. They checked how work has advanced since President Mnangagwa started the project last year. The minister expressed happiness with what he saw during his tour. The builders have completed 60 percent of the stormwater drainage systems.

This fancy community will feature many extras beyond just houses. Plans include a shopping mall where residents can buy everything they need. A clinic will provide healthcare services right inside the community. Sports fans will enjoy a swimming and tennis academy plus a top-quality golf course.

West Properties teamed up with the City of Harare for this massive building project. They designed smart systems to make the community run better. The sewer setup will recycle water for plants and grass, and a biogas system will create electricity from waste. Phase one includes 48 apartments, 12 villas, 30 townhouses, and seven garden homes.
