Government Begins Evaluation of National Development Strategy 1

Zimbabwe's government began reviewing its first major development plan to help create the next strategy. The Office of the President and Cabinet wants to hire local consulting companies to study how well the National Development Strategy worked from 2021 to 2025. Officials need to know which programs succeeded and which ones failed during those four years.

The government published a notice asking Zimbabwean firms to apply for the evaluation job. Companies must prove they can handle big projects and show they follow local business rules. The review will examine 14 different areas where the country tried to improve life for citizens.

Leaders created the development plan to reach Vision 2030 goals that would make Zimbabwe a richer nation. The strategy focused on economic growth and better government services for people across the country. Each area had special working groups that managed different improvement projects.

The evaluation results will shape the second National Development Strategy and future plans. Consulting firms must submit company information and legal documents to qualify for consideration. The chosen company will write three reports about what worked and what needs fixing.
