A very public political rift has emerged between Donald Trump and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Greene initiated the conflict by stating that Trump had attacked her for advocating a congressional vote to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. She asserted that Trump is pressuring fellow Republicans to block the release and is making an example of her.
In response, Trump issued a statement withdrawing his endorsement of Greene. He accused her of constant complaints and suggested that voters in her district are dissatisfied with her conduct. He also indicated he would support a primary challenger against her.
Greene maintained that her loyalty lies with her constituents and her principles, not with Trump. The former president, however, has clearly severed his political support for the congresswoman.
