Guild Wars 2 Janthir Wilds Closes with Epic Absolution

ArenaNet finishes Guild Wars 2 Janthir Wilds expansion with the Absolution update arriving June 3. The final chapter completes three free content patches that started with Godspawn and Repentance earlier. Players explore the crumbling city of Bava Nisos, where magic twisted the landscape over three centuries. Ancient Mursaat glory lies buried beneath dangerous ruins across this new zone. The story reveals secrets hidden deep within the Primordial Egress on Tyria's frontier.

A massive meta event guides adventurers toward the Mists Gate, where titans launched their invasion. Groups of 50 players can battle the new titan boss Ura during Convergence mode fights. The Kinfall Fractal dungeon allows players to experience lowland Kodan characters during significant cultural events. Players hear elder dragon Jormag speak for the first time before the Kodan migration northward. The experience shows what happened before tribes moved to the Janthir Wilds.

Homesteads housing doubles decoration limits from 1000 to 2000 objects for better customization options. Mastery levels increase to 500 and unlock new crafted decorations for player homes. New rewards feature legendary backpacks, gliders, weapon sets, and relics across different game areas. The Wizards Vault receives updated offerings to celebrate the expansion's conclusion. ArenaNet plans to announce its next yearly expansion soon.
