Gunmen Attack Ido Aiyegunle, Osun, Leaving Dozens Dead and Injured

Gunmen attacked a village in Osun State and hurt over 100 people. Many residents died during the violent raid on Ido Aiyegunle community. The attackers threw some victims into wells and kidnapped others. Several houses burned down and left families without homes.

Police confirmed the attack happened because of a land dispute between two communities. Officers rushed to the scene after hearing about the violence. They found burned buildings and rescued people from a well. Four victims died at the hospital despite rescue efforts.

The gunmen ran away when they saw police arriving. Officers heard voices coming from one of the wells during their search. Many people remain missing after the brutal assault. Police patrols continue protecting the area from more attacks.

This violence follows earlier fights about who owns certain land. Both communities have argued over boundaries for months. The disagreement turned deadly and terrorized innocent families. Governor Ademola Adeleke visited both towns after the attack and promised to restore peace.
