A delegation, including Volta Regional Minister James Gunu and traditional leaders, observed the ongoing military recruitment exercise at the Ho Sports Stadium. The event, organized by the Ghana Armed Forces, has attracted over four thousand applicants to the regional capital for initial selection stages.

The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, praised the military's professional handling of the large turnout. He encouraged the youth to maintain discipline and mentioned that future opportunities, including positions at a new pilot training school, would be available.
Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, also urged applicants to remain positive. He stated that the leaders' visit aimed to inspire confidence and reinforce the transparency of the recruitment process, assuring those not selected that other opportunities would arise.
