Heritage Audio continues to expand its hardware and software offerings with the release of the Tubesessor plug-in, a virtual version of its optical valve compressor. This new plug-in emulates the Tube-Tech CL-1B and features enhancements not found in the original hardware. Developed over two years, it captures the sound of the Tubesessor’s NOS Raytheon double-triode valve and can add anything from subtle warmth to aggressive distortion. The user interface mirrors the hardware, including a four-step Tube Saturation control and five side-chain filter frequencies.
The plug-in is recommended for use on drums and guitars, with a 14-day trial available. Existing hardware owners can receive a free license.
Tubesessor is compatible with Windows 10 and macOS 10.15.7 or higher and is available for $€99.
