Himani Shivpuri recalls SRK's humble beginnings on his 60th birthday

Actress Himani Shivpuri marked Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday on Sunday by recounting their initial encounter when the superstar reminded her of his early career. Khan mentioned working as a background performer in In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, a project Shivpuri completed during her National School of Drama period under Pradeep Krishen's direction. She expressed surprise at his recollection of the production from before his rise to stardom.

The performer praised Khan's dedication during their collaboration on Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, noting he provided vocal prompts for her scenes despite filming his portions separately. Shivpuri described this commitment as evidence of his exceptional work ethic. She recalled Khan listing her among 10 outstanding actresses alongside Meryl Streep, Madhuri Dixit, and Sridevi in a publication, expressing gratitude for the recognition.

Shivpuri played Simran's aunt Kammo in the 1995 romantic drama and appeared in Khan's 1998 hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, though they shared no scenes in that film. She concluded by wishing continued success for the performer known as King Khan.
