Hostage families blame Netanyahu for Qatar strike mess

Hostage families accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of blocking their relatives' release and preventing peace agreements. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum stated Netanyahu sabotages negotiations whenever progress occurs. Israeli forces killed five Hamas officials and one Qatari security officer during a Tuesday operation in Doha. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio traveled to Israel amid international criticism of the attack. The forum declared Netanyahu the sole barrier to returning 48 remaining captives and ending hostilities.

Netanyahu defended the Qatar operation as necessary for eliminating obstacles to hostage freedom. He blamed Hamas for rejecting ceasefire attempts and prolonging Gaza warfare. Families dismissed his statements as excuses designed to maintain political control. They claimed his delays caused 42 hostage deaths and endangered surviving captives. President Trump expressed displeasure with the Qatar strike through Rubio's statements.

Israeli military forces intensified Gaza City bombardments while ordering complete civilian evacuation. The United Nations warned that operations in famine-declared areas would deepen humanitarian disasters. Gaza's health ministry reported 68 deaths within 24 hours from Israeli attacks.
