HP plans to sell individual Omen PC parts directly to gamers who build computers from scratch. This marks a big change from their usual strategy of selling only prebuilt systems. The company will soon release several products, including a single 120 mm RGB fan and packs with three fans. They'll also offer a powerful 1000 W modular power supply plus two liquid cooling systems - one 240 mm version with an LCD screen and another 360 mm model with addressable RGB lighting. These parts will work perfectly fine with desktop computers not made by HP.
The new fans use a ring-shaped design that pushes more air through your system (up to 74 CFM) and reduces noise by improving static pressure. Every fan comes with customizable RGB lights that you can control through HP's Omen Gaming Hub software. Users can connect up to ten fans with the daisy chain system or link sixteen fans with a single Omen Modular Hub. Both liquid cooling options feature Asetek's latest 7th-generation pump technology. The 240 mm cooler includes a 2.1-inch IPS display screen, and both coolers have fans with second-generation addressable RGB effects controllable through the Gaming Hub.
HP created an OMEN 1,000 W power supply that meets ATX 3.1 standards and has both Cybernetics Platinum and 80 Plus Gold certifications. The fully modular design includes 12 V-2×6 connectors and 12VHPWR connections capable of delivering 600 W of power to energy-hungry components. The power supply runs silently during light usage thanks to its Zero RPM fan mode, which stops the cooling fan completely when temperatures stay low.
HP has not yet shared exact prices or release dates for any of these new DIY components. Their website simply states that these products are coming soon.
