Intel Panther Lake surges with 30 percent energy gain

Details have emerged about Intel’s Panther Lake mobile platform, which is set to introduce significant gains in performance and power efficiency. Panther Lake is the first consumer-focused product from Intel to use the 18A manufacturing node. Early reports indicate the chips will deliver 30 percent better power efficiency and a 50 percent increase in computational performance for demanding workloads compared to the previous Lunar Lake generation.

Intel plans to make Panther Lake chips available early in 2026. Sources briefed on the technology say the new processors will use 30 percent less energy and provide a 50 percent improvement in graphics and processing capabilities in certain scenarios. These developments are seen as critical as Intel works to strengthen its position in the PC and mobile markets. Further details are expected to be shared following Intel’s upcoming Tech Tour.
