iOS 18.5 RC Has Devs Buzzing Over Satellite

Apple just sent developers release candidate versions of iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, and macOS 15.5. These test builds arrived seven days after the fourth beta release. Developers can install the iOS 18.5 RC free through their iPhone Settings app. The update brings several new features, like Satellite Connectivity support for iPhone 13 models.

Anyone with a developer account can download these updates over the air. Just head to Settings, tap General, choose Software Update, select Beta Updates, and follow the steps on screen. Your Apple ID must connect to your Developer Account for this to work. The same process works for iPadOS 18.5 on tablets.

Mac users can grab the macOS 15.5 release candidate through System Settings under Software Update. Apple typically launches final versions about a week after release candidates appear. The public will likely see these updates next Monday or Tuesday unless Apple needs another test round. The company almost always pushes software updates early in the week.
