Myanmar's gem marketplace moved through its seventh session as authorities sold 640 jade parcels from nearly 900 offerings at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi observed proceedings while international and domestic buyers examined merchandise and submitted sealed bids for the following session's 750 lots.
Sales totals reached 754 parcels on the fifth session and 716 on the sixth before the latest results. The marketplace is processing 5,085 jade lots across three categories through competitive bidding that continues through late November. Foreign purchasers can settle accounts using dollars, euros, yuan, baht or other central bank-approved currencies, while domestic traders complete transactions in local currency.
