Jadeja takes four as India close on SA at Eden

India moved closer to victory after Ravindra Jadeja claimed four wickets during a chaotic second session at Eden Gardens, with South Africa reaching stumps at 93-7 and holding a 63-run advantage in their second innings. The veteran spinner dismissed key batters including Wiaan Mulder and Tony de Zorzi, in consecutive deliveries before clean bowling Tristan Stubbs to energize a crowd exceeding 47,000 spectators.

Earlier, Simon Harmer's 4-30 helped restrict the hosts to 189 after KL Rahul top-scored with 39 from 119 deliveries on a challenging pitch that saw 15 wickets tumble throughout the session. India captain Shubman Gill retired hurt with a neck complaint after facing just three balls and did not return to bat or field.

Temba Bavuma remained unbeaten on 29 for the visitors, who trail by 30 runs in the first innings. Corbin Bosch was alongside him when the poor light ended proceedings.
