Jaya Bachchan attended the Mukherjee family Durga Puja celebrations in North Mumbai on Monday, where she greeted Kajol with an embrace near the deity. Bachchan wore an ivory saree accented with gold details, while Kajol appeared in a yellow ombre saree after offering prayers. The actresses posed together for photographers at the Saptami festivities.
Kajol later interacted with police officers at the pandal, and she spent time with actor Vatsal Sheth, his wife Ishita Dutta, and their son Vaayu. The actress acknowledged on Sept. 28 that attending the festival proved difficult after the death of her uncle Deb Mukherjee, who passed away on March 14 at age 83. Bachchan and Kajol previously worked together in the 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
