Jobber Announces Debut Album with New Single Nightmare Out Now

New York rock band Jobber prepares to launch their debut full-length album after gaining notice from their 2022 EP Hell In A Cell. The group announced Jobber To The Stars with the release of their energetic lead track Nightmare. Kate Meizner serves as the band's vocalist and guitarist for the upcoming record. The album will arrive on August 22 through Exploding In Sound Records. Fans can expect eleven tracks that blend rock music with professional wrestling themes.

Meizner composed Nightmare during 2021 when she felt trapped at her workplace. Companies were cutting jobs and benefits at that time, making career changes feel risky. The song captures the feeling of being stuck between bad situations and fear of change. She describes it like a bad dream where someone tries to run from danger but cannot move their legs. The track features power pop elements with synthesizer sounds, sweet melodies, and strong rhythms.

Justin Pizzoferrato and Aron Kobayashi Ritch helped record the album at their studios. Pizzoferrato has worked with major acts like Dinosaur Jr and Pixies. The band chose their name from wrestling terminology where a jobber to the stars loses matches against famous wrestlers but beats unknown opponents. These performers make stars look good without reaching the top themselves. Professional wrestler Iron Rip Byson appears in the music video for Nightmare.
