Jonathan Moyo says Tendai Biti is now in Zambia

After so much speculation on the whereabouts of MDC Alliance's political party member Tendai Laxton Biti having been arrested, it didn't take long for Professor Jonathan Moyo to clear up the air on what actually transpired at the Chirundu border which separates the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Republic of Zambia.

Jonathan Moyo wrote in a tweet that Tendai Laxton Biti has managed to seek asylum from the Zimbabwe Military Junta which had accused Tendai Biti of being the reason why the Zimbabwe National Army soldiers killed unarmed civilians a few days after Zimbabwe's 2018 elections.

I thought Tendai Laxton Biti got elected as a member of Parliament. So what is going to happen to his Parliamentary seat now that he fled to Zambia?

Right now Tendai Biti is running away from the Zimbabwe Military Junta. Therefore, the discussion about his win as a member of Parliament isn't a priority but his safety from the Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's regime is paramount.

You can't put democracy in the same sentence with the Zimbabwe Military Junta. I don't see that happening any time soon.
