Joo Haknyeon Scandal Grows as Idol Fights Back

Dispatch released details about Joo Haknyeon's removal from boy group THE BOYZ. The scandal started when he spent time with Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara on May 30, 2025. They went to several places that night and he ended up at her house. He came back to his hotel the next morning. Japanese media caught them hugging and taking a taxi together.

Joo Haknyeon says his agency OneHundred treated him unfairly. He claims he never paid for anything illegal and the other people covered the costs. The singer first admitted to going home with Kirara during agency questioning. Later he changed his story and said he lied to sound tough. He argues that he got punished just for being around the wrong person.

The agency worried about their group's reputation with young female fans. They used a contract rule about protecting artist dignity to fire him. Company leaders feared bad publicity if romantic photos leaked online. They also worried about legal problems if anyone paid the women for services. Joo Haknyeon challenges anyone to prove he did something criminal.

Asuka Kirara spoke briefly about the situation. She denied ever taking money for private activities outside her professional work. The actress refused to give more interviews about what happened that night. She said she has never accepted payment for personal relationships no matter how much money people offered.

The case shows how perception can destroy careers even without proven wrongdoing. Joo Haknyeon frames his fight as standing up for powerless people against unfair treatment.
