Juja MP Stages Fake Kidnap to Beat Probe

Police reject claims about MP George Koimburi being kidnapped and released. Officers believe the Juja politician faked his abduction and started investigating the incident. Koimburi appeared at the Jacaranda coffee plantation after disappearing from public view. His family reported him missing on Sunday, but he turned up Monday morning. Police want to know how people learned about his location.

Koimburi vanished on Friday when officers tried to arrest him over a land case. He jumped from his car onto a motorcycle and escaped capture. His driver faced questioning at police headquarters about the incident. The MP stayed offline until Sunday when abduction reports surfaced. Officers visited the church, the abduction scene, the plantation, and the hospitals to gather evidence.

Ann Koimburi said two fake worshippers grabbed her husband outside the church on Sunday. The men forced him into a Subaru Forester with fake license plates. She tried to help but got hurt during the struggle. Police found Koimburi unconscious wearing his navy suit from Sunday. Officers need to question the MP about what really happened during his disappearance.
