'July Oikyo' Demands Fascism-Free Media, Fair Election, and July Charter

A group called July Oikyo organized a big march on Tuesday morning. The protesters walked from Jatiya Press Club all the way to Shahbagh. They want clean media without fascism and demand trials for former leader Hasina. The alliance also wants officials to announce something called the July Charter. People at the rally said they would do anything to bring back the July uprising spirit.

AB Zubayer spoke for the organizers and criticized the current government. He said leaders have forgotten about the people who died fighting for change. Zubayer believes the interim authority cannot handle basic problems or make important reforms. He thinks they have lost their way after listening to the wrong advisors. The organizer wants the government to hold fair elections and step down from power.

Another speaker named Musaddiq Ali Ibn Mohammad talked about corruption problems. He said some government advisors took bribes when picking new local officials. Musaddiq believes many of these new appointments favor the old Awami League party. He also criticized a student group called Chhatra Shokti for trying to control the uprising movement. The speaker warned people to stay away from anyone making money off the July events.

Musaddiq announced plans for a month of special activities during his speech. He said the group would not accept any fake declarations about July. The protesters want the constitution to officially recognize what they call the July Declaration. The rally ended with promises to keep fighting for their demands.
