Cops in Karonga busted a guy with ten bags of weed. Officers arrested 26-year-old William Kishombe, from Mwafilaso Village, after he could not show any paperwork for the cannabis sachets during a routine patrol around the township. Police spokesperson Constable Margret Msiska stated the drugs, wrapped inside a black plastic jumbo bag, were confiscated and will be sent off to the Lunyangwa Research Station for testing.
Kishombe now faces a formal charge for possessing illegal cannabis without a permit, which violates the country's Dangerous Drugs Act. He is awaiting a court appearance following the arrest.
