Gunmen shot Kasipul MP Charles Ong'ondo Were dead near City Mortuary on Ngong Road. Two attackers on a motorbike killed him as he sat stuck in traffic after leaving Parliament. They broke his car window and fired at close range. Police have not found why someone wanted him dead. His body went to Nairobi Hospital, where many leaders rushed to see him.
