Kasondo floors CAPS, Denver pockets cash at Rufaro

Jason Kasondo delivered the decisive header for Dynamos during the Harare Derby on Sunday, propelling his squad level on points with CAPS United. The 26-year-old forward rose above defenders at the near post to meet a corner kick, and his powerful connection left goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku helpless. Kasondo travels daily from Banket to Harare for training after waking at 4:45 a.m. to practice alone at Kuwadzana Stadium.

The striker has netted three goals, recorded one assist, and earned one penalty under coach Kelvin Kaindu. His previous goal against MWOS ended a seven-match winless run, and Dynamos have remained unbeaten through seven league and cup fixtures since that victory. Kasondo played for PAM and Banket United in Division One last season before joining the Glamour Boys.
