Kebbi Government Hires 2,000 Educators to Strengthen Schools

Kebbi State has started hiring 2,000 teachers to improve education for students across the area. Dr. Halima Muhammad-Bande handed out job letters to the first group of new teachers during a meeting in Birnin Kebbi. She runs both the Basic and Secondary Education departments and leads the team in picking these teachers. She told everyone that 391 people with college degrees and advanced training have already started working at higher-level schools.

Muhammad-Bande explained that more teachers with National Certificate in Education degrees will join soon. The education department reviewed 4,000 people from a giant pool of 18,000 who wanted these jobs. She mentioned they plan to keep hiring because schools need more teachers. She called teachers kings in Kebbi because Governor Nasir Idris taught before becoming governor and really cares about helping kids learn.

Muhammad Garba-Bena heads the Education Committee for Kebbi lawmakers and thinks this matches what leaders want for better schools. He asked people who have not received jobs yet to stay hopeful because more hiring will happen later. The top official at the Education Ministry, Abubakar Magaji-Nayilwa, talked to the new teachers about working hard at their jobs. He reminded them that they shape what happens to Kebbi kids as they grow up.

The governor believes education matters most for developing the state and wants to make sure schools have enough teachers for years to come. Parents feel happy about these changes since better teaching means their children can learn more each day. Community members hope these new teachers bring fresh ideas and energy to classrooms throughout Kebbi State.
