Kenya Power schedules cuts in 11 counties Thursday

Kenya Power says people living in eleven different counties should expect their lights to go out on Thursday. These counties include Nairobi, Makueni, Nyandarua, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Meru, Laikipia, Kiambu, Kitui, Mombasa, and Kwale. The power cuts will happen between eight in the morning and five in the evening. Each area has its schedule for when electricity will stop working.

Parts of Nairobi will be without power from nine in the morning until five at night. These blackouts will affect Kiriri University, Mutuya Primary School, Mwihoko Secondary, and many nearby places. Other Nairobi spots facing electricity cuts include Scion Hospital, V Club, Joharis, and Mukuru Health Centre. Other areas losing power are Raphta Road, St. Michael Road, Mahiga Mairu Road, and several shopping centers like Chandarana Food Plus.

Makueni County residents should plan for electricity outages from nine to five. The affected places include Emali Town, Mulala, Kithumani, Masokani, Kikumini, Masumba, and Welfare. People living in Matiliku, Kilili, Kalamba, Katulye, Upendo, and Nziu will also need candles or flashlights that day. Everyone living near these spots should prepare for the same situation.

The power company will cut electricity in parts of Nyandarua from nine to five. People in Miharati, including Machinery, Kahiga, Bondeni, Gitwe, and Mahinga, should make plans. Residents of Gatiriga, Mumui, Matopeni, Mawingu, Ndiara, Manunga, and Mubau face the same situation. Anyone living close to these areas should expect their homes to go dark during those hours.

Uasin Gishu County will see blackouts hitting Naiberi Laini Moja, Kamiti, Losirwa, and Lotonyok between nine and five. Nandi County's parts lose power from nine-thirty until five, affecting Taunet Sec, Soy Sitet, and nearby areas. Laikipia residents will experience outages from eight-thirty until four-thirty, touching Timau Market, Kilimbogo, Siraji, Oldonyo, Batian, and Ngarendare.

Meru County faces electricity cuts from eight in the morning through five in the evening. This affects many places, including Nkoune, Mwiriene Primary, Meru Teachers College, and Mwithumwilu Secondary School. Other affected locations include Kaaga Girls High School, Mpakone Village, Kaaga, Safaricom Kaaga, LR Petrol Station, and Gatimene Gardens. The list continues with KEMU University, Tuliza FM, and several other schools and businesses.

Kiambu County residents around Laureate School, Tsavo Fourways, St Mary's Runda, Kwaheri Road, and Chief Gatabaki Centre should prepare for darkness between nine and five. People living in Kitui County areas like Kyamatu, Zewani, Kangweni, Thingathi, and Kanzoumo will experience the same problem. Other Kitui locations facing power loss include Yongwe, Kamandio, Enyu, Zombe, and Mwitiga.

Mombasa County places scheduled for electricity outages from nine to five include KPA Red Brick, Former Gapco, Makande Primary, KPA Club, ACK ST Lukes Church, and Jua Kali. Kwale County will see power cuts from nine until three, affecting Vingujini, Sawasawa Beach, Msambweni Referral Hospital, Msambweni Beach House, and KMTC Msambweni. Everyone living around these locations should make appropriate plans.
