Kenya Power says many areas will be without power on Saturday. This is because they need to work on their systems.
The power will be off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Four counties—Nairobi, Machakos, Vihiga, and Nyeri—will experience these cuts.
Nairobi's power will stop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Places like Syokimau Railway Station will not have power. Other spots near the airport will also be affected. These include Crowne Plaza, Four Points Hotel, KAA, Airport Trade Centre, and nearby businesses.
Machakos will experience power cuts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cuts will affect Gateway Mall, Nation Printers, Doshi, Sawada Villas, and Muthama Heights, among others. Roads affected by the power cuts include Mwananchi Road, Airport Road, Kiungani Road, and Community Road.
Vihiga areas will lose power from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. These areas include Cheptul Market, Shiru, Kaptech, Muhudu, Sigong'o, Upendo, and Musasa Market, plus several others.
Nyeri will see power cuts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Othaya Town will also be affected. Important places without power will include Mwai Kibaki Hospital, Othaya Boys, Othaya Girls, and the former President Kibaki's home. Banks that will not have power include KCB Othaya, Cooperative Bank, Family Bank, and Equity Bank.
