Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia entered Evercare Hospital for medical evaluations after her treatment team recommended comprehensive testing. The 80-year-old arrived at the facility late in the evening and was placed in a private room, according to her physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain.
Medical specialists will determine subsequent care based on diagnostic findings from the examination. Zia manages multiple chronic conditions affecting her liver, kidneys, cardiovascular system, joints, and respiratory organs while also dealing with diabetes and vision complications. A specialized panel of doctors provides ongoing care at her Gulshan home.
