Kibos Sugar took over Chemelil Sugar Company after winning a lease deal announced Friday through Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe. Kibos Director Jassi Chatthe stepped into his role Saturday morning at the struggling mill. He sat down with staff and farmers to map out plans for bringing the troubled factory back to life.
