KOD Promises Renewed Focus on Ghana Diaspora Ties

President John Dramani Mahama has chosen Kofi Okyere Darko, who people call KOD, to be his special helper for Ghanaians living in other countries. This shows that President Mahama really wants to work with Ghanaians abroad to improve Ghana.

KOD was born on January 13, 1978, in Winneba. He is knowledgeable about media, fashion, and Ghanaian culture. He attended Nifa Secondary School in Winneba and Adukrom. After that, he studied at the Ghana Institute of Journalism to learn even more.

KOD's family has always liked helping people. His dad, James Aidoo, worked for the Ghana Prisons, and his mom, Margaret Aidoo, helped start a group called the 31st December Women's Movement. Because of this, KOD learned to love Ghana and want to help make it better.

KOD started working at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, where he helped make shows. Then he worked at Radio Gold. He even went to the United Kingdom and worked with cool fashion companies like Ted Baker and Paul Smith.

When KOD came back to Ghana, he became famous for his work on the radio. He worked at EIB Network's LIVE FM and now talks on the radio at Starr FM in Accra. KOD also makes clothes and helps people learn about Ghanaian culture. He's really good at bringing together Ghanaians living in Ghana and Ghanaians living in other countries.

As the President's new helper, KOD will work hard to make Ghanaians and Ghanaians in other countries better friends. He will tell people about ways they can help Ghana grow, like investing money or sharing ideas about culture and business. KOD understands Ghana and other countries really well, so he's the perfect person to help Ghanaians in other places use their skills and resources to make Ghana better.

KOD is married to Ophelia Crossland, who is also really good at making clothes. They have two little girls. President Mahama chose KOD because he had a big plan to use the help of Ghanaians living outside of Ghana to make the country even better.
