The performance marked a significant milestone for the young player from Ghuwara village in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where residents installed a large LED screen to watch her compete.
Goud received her first ODI opportunity in May 2025 as an injury replacement for Kashvee Gautam. She later secured a spot on the England tour after injuries sidelined Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar, where she claimed six wickets in a series victory.
