KUCCPS Portal Reopens and Triggers Student Rush

Kenya Universities' placement service opened applications again for students who missed spots earlier. If they did not secure a place when applications closed on April 30, students can pick from courses still available. Form Four graduates with passing grades but no current application may also apply through the student portal at kuccps.ac.ke. The application period runs from May 18 through May 27 for the 2025 school year. Students can choose from 40 public universities, 29 private schools, and one open university.

When accepted, students qualify for government aid through the Higher Education Loans Board. The system includes 263 public colleges with scholarship options. Another 141 public training centers also accept applications for technical programs. Education leader Julius Ogamba first mentioned this March opening back in February for September classes. KUCCPS began in 2014 to help students find spots in higher education programs across Kenya. The agency creates career guidance information and keeps records about student placement for future planning.
