LegalTech Fund closes $110m second round

A Miami venture capital firm specializing in legal technology startups has secured $110 million for its second fund, quadrupling its initial $28.5 million raise. McDermott Will & Schulte and electronic discovery company Consilio led the investment round with substantial commitments from law firms and tech companies eager to access emerging legal innovations.

The LegalTech Fund has backed more than 80 entrepreneurs since launching in 2021, financing companies that develop litigation software, data management tools and recruitment platforms for legal practices. Managing partner Zach Posner emphasized that legal technology has evolved beyond specialty status to become central to modern business operations, attracting major institutional investors seeking exposure to the sector's rapid growth and transformation.
