Lenovo accidentally published details about its new ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 laptop on its Malaysian website before the official announcement. The upcoming model will offer AMD's powerful 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. Some versions with Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 340 chips can support up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory.
This new laptop should perform much better than the previous model that used the Ryzen 7 8840HS processor. The Radeon 890M graphics will also outperform the older 780M, though the improvement may not be dramatic. Users can choose a 2.8K OLED screen running at 120Hz with 500 nits brightness and full DCI-P3 color coverage.
The laptop comes with many connection options typical for ThinkPad devices. It includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort 1.4 support, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, two USB-A ports, and a headphone jack. Some models might also feature slots for a nano SIM card and a smart card reader. These specifications show that Lenovo continues to focus on giving business users plenty of connectivity options.
