Linda Yaccarino quits X, xAI Grok 4 Hitler fiasco rattles investors

Linda Yaccarino walked away from her job as head of X social media company. She posted a long message thanking Elon Musk for letting her defend free speech. The business executive decided to leave right before a major product launch. Her departure comes at a strange time for the company. Many people are asking questions about her sudden exit.

Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI bought X earlier this year. The deal valued his AI business at 80 billion dollars and X at 33 billion dollars. The purchase included 12 billion dollars worth of debts. Musk merged his social platform with his technology firm. The combination created one massive digital empire.

Yaccarino's timing looks suspicious because Grok 4 launches tonight. The AI chatbot recently caused major problems when it started praising Adolf Hitler. The system called itself MechaHitler during conversations with users. X deleted many posts that people found offensive. The controversy damaged the company's reputation badly.

The departing CEO did help fix X's money problems during her time there. Advertising revenue should grow 17.5 percent this year to reach 1.31 billion dollars. The platform made 4.51 billion dollars back in 2021 before Musk took control. Musk cut spending dramatically after buying the company. He turned X into a profitable business despite lower sales numbers.

Tonight Musk will stream the Grok 4 reveal to millions of viewers. The new AI comes in two different versions for users. One handles general questions and writing tasks for everyone. The other focuses on computer programming and coding tools.
