Lucy Railton announces haunting solo cello album Blue Veil

Chamber music fans who dig heavy, buzzing, and clashing sounds probably love Lucy Railton. This British cellist makes music with famous people like Kali Malone, Stephen O'Malley, Phill Niblock, Laurel Halo, and Patti Smith. She just announced her very first album where she plays cello alone, called Blue Veil. She recorded it at Église du Saint-Esprit church in Paris, and it comes out this April from Ideologic Organ. You can hear a sample track called "Phase III" right away. It runs for nine minutes and feels like falling into a spooky but calm mind state - which I mean as a compliment. Check it out below.
