Mayor Trevino Forbes said some people inside the Walvis Bay municipality want his party to fail. He thinks they mess up trash pickup and road repairs on purpose. He spoke at an Independent Patriots for Change press event last Saturday. The mayor claims the workers stop tenders from being awarded at the last minute.
Forbes promised these problems would stop soon. He plans to work with new CEO Victoria Kapenda and others who want to help the town. He said his council gave out more land than past leaders did. The Shack Dwellers Federation received over 2000 plots under his watch. Party members cleaned the streets before they met that day.
