His city also won for Community Sports, Recreation and Culture Development because they help everyone join sports activities.
Walvis Bay saw its mayor, Trevino Forbes, named Outstanding Public Servant Mayor for 2024. The awards committee praised his work with the Mayoral Relief Fund, which gave back over N$2.3 million to residents needing help. Walvis Bay also received the Outstanding Municipality Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Community Impact Award for their programs.
